Just a Bagful of Magic Beans...
Earthly Treasures began as a magical idea back in 2004, when Zoë decided to start the shift away from academia and offer unique, handmade jewellery designs with a personable customer service to match.
2 years later the idea had fully germinated and we had embarked upon our own little venture dedicated to offering good quality handmade accessories alongside Fair Trade clothing. In those early days we frequented a chilly market stall in our local market town and spent many a long night pooling our skills and ideas to create our own online store. Very soon our roomy garage and 2nd and 3rd bedrooms were being taken over by tools, materials, creations, designs, Fair Trade stock and recycled packaging. And Zoë had very much commandeered the use of our Mac!
And a Faraway Tree...
Since then we have experienced some wonderful changes in our joint personal life, including our marriage in 2007 and first child born in 2009 - but above all the realisation that we can have the life we want, if only we are willing to take the risk. Born adventurers, we both craved a more mobile and free existence and one which would give us many happy and exciting memories. So in 2007 Matt moved happily from normal employment to contracting, we invested in a camper van and personalised conversion and we took to the road!
Earthly Treasures has moved with us and we are very happy to have settled (despite our original intentions!) in the beautiful Shropshire/Herefordshire/Welsh borders, where you can also visit us! From the very beginning our aim has been to offer up an emporium of beautiful, ethical accessories in a range of prices for all tastes and pockets. Our range is always expanding and fulfilling new niches, and we hope that you enjoy exploring our cave of delights as much as we have enjoyed filling it!
